.....the exit on the other side had been sealed.
.....it would be divulged.


Perhaps

.....I was not.
.....it was genuine.
.....it was a facade.
.....there are external factors.
.....it's just me.

.....hesitant to rock the boat?
.....blatant?
.....subtle?

.....know that I've kept the truth from you?
.....tell me that you've stumbled upon it on your own?
.....tell me what you know?
.....prolong this shroud of pretence?
