Grey Matter

"You've made your point perfectly clear,"
Dr. Christina Yang hissed at Dr. Preston Burke.

There I was - a self-indulgent couch potato sprawling lazily across the couch. Immersed in the barbed exchanges of Grey's Anatomy and gratified from the preceding episode of Desperate Housewives, an anti-climax ensued out of the blue. Tumbling hastily on my return to reality, panic paralyzed me.

Time: 2342 hrs

"Oh!", Sheesh!", " No!", "Aaaah!" and other incoherent monosyllables jumbled clumsily.

Leaping off the couch, it was a race against the minute hand.

Time: 2346 hrs

"Welcome to....Argh". Exasperation had found its new acquaintance, and it didn't take too well to the pre-recorded greeting.

"Press 1 for annoyance, 2 for irritation, 3 for jitters or # to drive yourself up the wall."

I jest.

"What?!" Dumbfounded with a futile punching match of digits, I sought the assistance of 'the friendly customer service officer'.

Time: 2357 hrs

It marked the end of my call. The sun came out and chased the clouds away, the rainbow streaked its colours across the fluffy canvas and the cow jumped over the moon.....right.

An oversight on my part, I had mistakenly made payment to my Citibank Platinum Dividend Card instead of my Citibank Business Gold Visa. The transaction had taken place yesterday, which was the due date. Nestling in the comfort of what the goggle box had to offer, the realisation of the gross error caught me in time. The late payment charge will be waived once I have made payment to the right card tomorrow.
