Kerching!

I've been approached to be poached.

A former colleague has expressed interest in hiring me as an English specialist / trainer.

Perks:
  • 30% pay increment
  • monthly bonus for full attendance
  • less punishing workload (note: less is in relativity. It does not mean there's no work to be done.)
  • 5-day work week.
  • no more red tape & silly justifications reiterating "we do it because it has always been done this way."
  • allows me to revel & specialize in what I teach best - English!

The Downside:

  • no medical benefits
  • no performance bonus (bye bye, April!)
  • no Connect Plan

After working it out, the total gross annual income would overshadow the current income (with the current bonuses taken into account).

Should I take up this offer?

You will enjoy it?
Take it.

As long as pay is sufficient (not necessarily more, or less), pay doesn't matter as much as enjoyment and satisfaction.

Enjoyment + Satisfaction + pay increment sounds good.

Consider, consider, consider....

Thanks for your support!
