Need A Lift?
Momentary claustrophobia got the better of me as the elevator jolted with a start and darkness enveloped at, of all levels, the 13th.
"Uh. Oh."
Alone in the constricted square, brainwaves bombarded haphazardly, demanding equal attention.
Well, the knee-jerk reaction was to sound the alarm.
Next, I prayed and gave the door a kick. (yes, much to the alarm of my Common Sense, which had fled the scene.)
Hey, presto!
The cables stirred lazily and lulled a slow descent to the next level.
Hello, Sunshine! =)
