Recent controversy has shrouded the opening of a Planned Parenthood clinicin Aurora, a relatively unknown suburb in Chicago. The petition for and failure to legalize an injunction came after Planned Parenthood used a subsidiary called Gemini Office Development on the permits to erect the building. Once the news broke, a few Aurora City Council members along with abortion opponents swept in and accused Planned Parenthood of committing fraudagainst the city. The abortion industry's whoppers go far beyond Aurora. For years, it denied that the grizzly partial-birth abortion procedure existed, and when called on it, the industry spread around some more lies, such as it's "rarely used," used only to preserve the mother's health or life, used only on severely ill unborn babies and so forth. Until Ron Fitzsimmons, head of the National Coalition of Abortion Providers, his conscience hurting, admitted that he was "lying through his teeth." The procedure existed, he said, and was used frequently and for whatever reason the mother wanted. This was ten years ago, but the abortion industry has never owned up to the lie.
Mich's take :
Cloak it in various pseudonyms - abortion, genetic engineering, in-vitro fertilisation and the like, the semantics are similar.
What You Really Don't Want To Know About Me: top priority in life (aside from God) is Love, cares deeply for The One who's garnered her attention & affection, needs a load of TLC, deceivingly boisterous but private, a sentimentalist frazzled with nostalgic nuances, basks in the limelight of those within the circle of trust, munches on anything remotely appealing to the palate, drenches self in colours, constantly seeking answers, tends to over-analyse situations (blame it on Practical Criticism in Lit classes!), passionate about Literature, Political History & Art, stares at the ceiling & weaves a kaleidoscope of imaginary patterns, avoids hypocrisy like the plague, ironically disciplined when not shackled, doesn't give a hoot about what others think (read: those who don't know me, do not matter to me), puts others above self, accommodating & protective of friends, high tolerance for crap, immensely dislikes rude & obnoxious people, hates waiting for the bus, likes the MRT & taxis, loathes being mistaken for a non-Singaporean (hello, I am not a ni-hao-ma China girl!) & basically a petite (that’s a euphemism for "short fart",really) humanoid with a feisty but caring nature to boot.
