Danny & Daddy

The child in me loves Danny & Daddy to bits! For some reason, I find this series heartwarming and poignant. (If you're lucky, you can catch it in between scheduled programmes on Kids Central. My lil Princess is glued to the screen when it comes on!)

Each clip invariably starts with Daddy entering the house while Danny is about to squiggle on his paper. With earnest enthusiasm, Daddy tries to guess repeatedly what Danny has in mind as he draws.

If Daddy gets it right, both parties cheer but this moment is shortlived as Daddy turns to leave. Danny is saddened and Daddy cheers him up by telling Danny that he is loved.

If Daddy gets it wrong after the addition of details, Daddy shows disappointment that his attempts are for nought and walks towards the door with slouched shoulders. As Daddy draws away (pun not intended), Danny quickly draws a red heart. Comforted, Daddy is all smiles again and Danny shares Daddy's delight with his giggles.
