Scribbled Flights of Fancy

Some simple scribbles by Mich in the dead of the night -

Have you walked along the sidewalk and wished it never ends?
Have you watched the dandelion as it gently bends?

Have you heard the river gurgle with bursts of delight?
Have you snuggled under a blanket of stars in the lonely night?

Do you wish to hang onto the rainbow by its slivered nook?
Do you yearn to retrace the sands of time with steps you once took?

When the wind goes on by, do you see the grasses bow?
When the trees shed their leaves, do you stop and wonder how?

If the kitten wraps its warmth, would you rest a tender hand?
If the cheetah takes to flight, would you know of the race it ran?

If you could, would you tell?
Of the tale known too well?
