Why blog in Mandarin?

English comes naturally to me. It is my mother tongue, the lingua franca that was trilled till I went to school. Mandarin allows me to distance myself from what I'm feeling. English compounds and welts my emotions with the theatrics of the language. I cannot do that with my smattering Mandarin. Therefore, when the scrawls upon this wall are that of the alien hua yu vernacular, it is simply a means of detachment and escapism for Mich.

Not terribly courageous, I know.
