Justified By Faith - A Myriad Of Blessings.

As astonishing as it is, a multitude of blessings has unravelled so quickly that I can scarcely keep up.

1. Since Sal's wedding at Chijmes in 2008 , I'd been looking forward to Dec 2009 as it was to spell a trip to Sydney where The Man & I would live at Sal's residence in Beverly Hills.
   
   Two weeks ago, The Man decided against Sydney.
   
   Mich : But we're supposed to visit Sally this December.
   The Man : Sydney seems boring. Also, there's a spike in airfares. It's $1400 for each plane ticket.
   Mich : That's how it is during the peak season.
   The Man : Shall we go somewhere else? $2800 for plane tickets without accomodation is too expensive.(thank goodness accomodation was free)
   Mich : But where can we go?
   The Man : (pauses) ........ Do you want to go to Europe?
   Mich : HUH?
   The Man : Shall we set off in the first week of December? It'll be for our wedding anniversary.
   Mich : HUH?
   
   As you can see, I was pretty ruffled and riddled with nary a linear thought. Here was The Man who'd mentioned mere seconds earlier that $2800 was expensive. Yet, in the same breath, he'd put forward the suggestion of a Europe trip that would easily definitely be triple-fold of Sydney's.
   
   And there you have it.
   
   Mich will be jetting off to Europe in December to celebrate her wedding anniversary.
   
   What a delightful turn of events!


2. Today, The Man muffined (apologies for my self-coined verb of the moment) yet another surprise. A 3-day stay at a local luxury boutique hotel awaits me this weekend. Rates are approximately a gasp-inducing $300 per night. It's meant to be an early birthday surprise. You see, Mich will turn 30 on November 14.

What matters most is not the destination nor the cost involved.

It's the spark of initiative which ripples and makes Mich smile.
